Who operates the service
Viida Vend operates the Viida Vend marketplace website and app. Both use the same service and account records. For privacy questions, corrections or deletion requests, contact info@lionbyte-tech.com.
Account and business information
We collect the name, email address, phone number, password and account role you provide. Passwords are stored as hashes. Account records may include your profile photo, verification status, security settings, sessions and recovery information.
Shop accounts provide business and store details, address and location. Driver accounts provide vehicle details, registration plate and licence information. Owners can create and manage staff access. Administrators review relevant business and driver information for access and approval.
Shopping, payments and support
We use saved addresses, recipient names and phone numbers, cart and order details, prices, payment status and references, delivery instructions, support conversations, returns requests and reviews to provide the marketplace. Shop and driver payout records may include banking details.
Payment methods depend on availability shown by the service. Where a hosted payment provider such as DPO is enabled, it receives the transaction reference, amount, currency and necessary contact information and processes the payment interaction. Do not send card security codes or banking passwords to support.
Where the saved-card form is offered, card number, expiry and security code are entered in that form. The saved-card record sent to our backend contains the brand, last four digits and expiry, rather than the full card number or security code. Saving card details does not enable charging through an unavailable payment method.
Reviews you submit for publication may show your name, avatar, rating and comment. Store, product and advertising content is displayed to marketplace visitors.
Location, maps, camera and photos
With device permission, location is used to select addresses, find nearby shops and support delivery. Saved addresses and orders can include coordinates. An available driver using active delivery features can send location updates; the customer can see the assigned driver's relevant delivery location and details during supported order stages.
Maps and address lookup use Google Maps and platform geocoding services, which may process the location or lookup request. You can deny or revoke location permission and enter an address manually where supported.
The camera and photo picker support profile pictures, product images, delivery evidence and QR/barcode scanning. Chosen or captured images are uploaded when you use the corresponding upload feature. QR/barcode scanning reads a code for the product workflow; it does not upload the camera stream. Images can contain information such as faces or embedded metadata, so avoid uploading unnecessary personal information.
Notifications, local storage and usage records
Firebase Cloud Messaging uses Firebase installation identifiers, device push tokens and notification data to support messaging. Google may also process operational information such as application identifiers and IP addresses. When device messaging is registered, tokens are associated with your account so relevant messages can be sent to your device. You can change notification permissions in your device settings; turning off notification display does not itself erase account or provider records.
The app or browser stores sign-in information, preferences and cached content on your device. The service records session, access, device/platform, IP-address and security activity information for authentication, abuse prevention and operations. Sponsored placements record views and clicks, including daily hashed visitor and network identifiers, for aggregate advertising reports.
Why information is used and who receives it
Information is used to create and secure accounts, approve participating businesses and drivers, manage products, fulfil orders, arrange delivery, handle payments and reconciliation, provide support and measure sponsored placements.
Participating shops and their authorised staff receive the order and contact details necessary for their work. Assigned drivers receive relevant delivery details. Customers receive relevant shop, order and assigned-driver information. Administrators and authorised support personnel access records needed for approval, security, financial administration and support.
Hosting, database, storage, email, maps, messaging and enabled payment providers process information needed to operate these services. Hostinger hosts the website/backend; Google services support maps and Firebase messaging. Provider processing can occur outside your country. Information may also be disclosed where required by applicable law or to resolve fraud, security incidents and disputes.
Security and your choices
The service uses HTTPS, hashed passwords and account/role access controls. Keep your password, recovery codes and authenticator codes private. No online service can guarantee that every security risk will be eliminated.
You can review or correct profile and address information using available account features, control device permissions, sign out and request account and associated-data deletion. Contact info@lionbyte-tech.com if you cannot access an account feature. Policies remain readable without signing in.
Retention and account deletion
Account and service records are kept while needed to operate your account, fulfil transactions and handle support. Account-deletion requests are reviewed manually; submitting a request does not immediately erase records. The Account deletion and retention page explains how to request review and which records may need to be retained.
Financial and transaction records subject to Namibian tax record-keeping requirements must be retained for the applicable legal period, which can be at least five years. A three-month invoice display or download period does not shorten a legal retention obligation. Records needed for unresolved orders, payouts, disputes, fraud prevention or legal obligations may also need to be retained. This is not a reason to retain all unrelated profile, photo or location information indefinitely.
There is no promise that a deletion request triggers an automatic timed purge. Ask support for the scope, expected processing time and confirmation of your request, including the treatment of backups and service-provider copies. Deactivation or sign-out alone is not deletion.
Changes and contact
The date and version above identify this policy. Changes will be published on the policy pages; review them when using changed features. Contact info@lionbyte-tech.com with privacy, access, correction or deletion enquiries.
